Latihan Soal Asesmen Sumatif Akhir Tahun Bahasa Inggris Kelas 10 SMA SMK MA Tahun 2024. Ditinjau dari sudut bahasa, asesmen/asesmen/penilaian diartikan sebagai proses menentukan nilai suatu objek. Untuk dapat menentukan suatu nilai atau harga suatu objek diperlukan adanya ukuran atau kriteria. Misalnya untuk dapat mengatakan baik, sedang, kurang, diperlukan adanya ukuran yang jelas bagaimana yang baik, yang sedang, dan yang kurang. Ukuran itulah yang dinamakan kriteria. Dari pengertian tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa ciri asesmen/penilaian adalah adanya objek atau program yang dinilai dan adanya kriteria sebagai dasar untuk membandingkan antara apa yang dicapai dengan kriteria yang harus dicapai. Perbandingan bisa bersifat mutlak, bisa pula bersifat relatif.
Perbandingan bersifat mutlak
artinya hasil perbandingan tersebut menggambarkan posisi objek yang dinilai
ditinjau dari kriteria yang berlaku. Sedangkan perbandingan yang bersifat
relatif artinya hasil perbandingan lebih menggambarkan posisi suatu objek yang
dinilai terhadap objek lainnya dengan bersumber pada kriteria yang sama. Dengan
demikian, inti asesmen/penilaian adalah proses mementukan nilai suatu objek
tertentu berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Proses pemberian nilai tersebut
berlangsung dalam bentuk interpretasi yang diakhiri dengan judgment.
Interpretasi dan judgment merupakan tema asesmen/penilaian yang
mengimplikasikan adanya suatu perbandingan antara kriteria dan kenyataan dalam
konteks situasi tertentu. Atas dasar itu maka dalam kegiatan asesmen/penilaian
selalu ada objek/program yang dinilai, ada kriteria, dan ada interpretasi/judgment.
Asesmen/penilaian hasil
belajar adalah proses pemberian nilai terhadap hasil-hasil belajar yang dicapai
siswa dengan kriteria tertentu. Hal ini mengisyaratkan bahwa objek yang
dinilainya adalah hasil belajar siswa. Hasil belajar siswa ada hakikatnya
adalah perubahan tingkah laku. Tingkah laku sebagai hasil belajar dalam
pengertian yang luas mencakup bidang kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotoris. Oleh sebab
itu, dalam asesmen/penilaian hasil belajar rumusan kemampuan dan tingkah laku
yang diinginkan dikuasai siswa (kompetensi) menjadi unsur penting sebagai dasar
dan acuan asesmen/penilaian. Asesmen/penilaian proses pebelajaran adalah upaya
memberi nilai terhadap kegiatan belajar mengajar yang dilakukan oleh siswa dan
guru dalam mencapai tujuan-tujuan pengajaran.
Tujuan pembelajaran pada
hakikatnya adalah perubahan tingkah laku pada diri siswa. Oleh sebab itu dalam asesmen/penilaian
hendaknya diperiksa sejauh mana perubahan tingkah laku siswa telah terjadi
melalui proses belajarnya.
Dengan mengetahui tercapai
tidaknya tujuan pembelajaran, dapat diambil tindakan perbaikan proses
pembelajaran dan perbaikan siswa yang bersangkutan. Misalnya dengan melakukan
perubahan dalam strategi mengajar, memberikan bimbingan dan bantuan belajar
kepada siswa. Dengan perkataan lain, hasil asesmen/penilaian tidak hanya
bermanfaat untuk mengetahui tercapai tidaknya perubahan tingkah laku siswa,
tetapi juga sebagai umpan balik bagi upaya memperbaiki proses pembelajaran.
Dalam asesmen/penilaian ini
dilihat sejauh mana keefektifan proses pebelajaran dalam mengupayakan perubahan
tingkah laku siswa. Oleh sebab itu, asesmen/penilaian hasil dan proses belajar
saling berkaitan satu sama lain sebab hasil belajar yang dicapai siswa
merupakan akibat dari proses pembelajaran yang ditempuhnya (pengalaman
belajarnya). Sejalan dengan pengertian diatas maka asesmen/penilaian berfungsi
sebagai berikut:

Alat untuk mengetahui tercapai-tidaknya tujuan pembelajaran. Dengan fungsi ini
maka asesmen/penilaian harus mengacu pada rumusan-rumusan tujuan pembelajaran
sebagai penjabaran dari kompetensi mata pelajaran.
b.
Umpan balik bagi perbaikan proses belajar-mengajar. Perbaikan mungkin dilakukan
dalam hal tujuan pembelajaran, kegiatan atau pengalaman belajar siswa, strategi
pembelajaran yang digunakan guru, media pembelajaran, dll.
c.
Dasar dalam menyusun laporan kemajuan belajar siswa kepada para orang tuanya.
Dalam laporan tersebut dikemukakan kemampuan dan kecakapan belajar siswa dalam
berbagai bidang studi atau mata pelajaran dalam bentuk nilai-nilai prestasi
yang dicapainya.

My Day at the Beach
Last week my friend and I were bored after three weeks of holidays, so we rode our bikes to Smith Beach, which is only five kilometers from where I live. When we arrived at the beach, we were surprised to see there was hardly anyone there. After having a quick dip in the ocean, which was really cold, we realized one reason there were not many people there. It was also quite windy.
After we bought some hot chips at the takeaway store nearby, we rode our bikes down the beach for a while, on the hard, damp part of the sand. We had the wind behind us and, before we knew it, we were many miles down the beach. Before we made the long trip back, we decided to paddle our feet in the water for a while, and then sit down for a rest. While we were sitting on the beach, just chatting, it suddenly dawned on us that all the way back, we would be riding into the strong wind.

Last month, I travelled to several cities in Sumatra. From Jakarta, I went by a bus to Merak harbour. I had to take a ferry to pass the Sunda strait, from Merak to Tanjung Karang. This is the largest national park in south east Asia. I saw orang-utans, monkeys rhinos, and many beautiful birds. I visited the rain forest. It was beautiful. My last few days were spent in Banda Aceh. I really enjoyed this city.

James Watt was a great Scottish engineer of the 18th century. He did not actually invent the steam engine. Instead, he
Improved it. A man named Thomas Savery invented the first primitive steam engine in 1698. A man named Newcomen started making steam engines to pump water from mines in 1712. However , Watt is famous for inventing an improved version in 1769.
James Watt was born in Greenock on January 19, 1736. Hs father, also called James, was shipbuilder. As a boy Watt attend the local grammar school where he studied classics and mathematics. The young Watt also liked making models.
Eventually, watt decided to become a maker of mathematical instruments, such as quadrants and compasses. In 1755 he went to London, but only lived there for two years before moving to Glasgow.
In 1964 Watt improved on a model of a Newcomen steam engine. In the Newcomen`s the steam was pushed into a cylinder, then condensed back into water. A year later Watt realised it would be more efficient to condense the steam in another chamber separate from the cylinder. However , it was not until 1769 that Watt patented his knew idea, the separate condenser.
In 1766 Watt landed a job as a land surveyor marking out land for canals and eight years later he moved to Birmingham. In 1775 he went into partnership with MatthewBoulton and began making steam engines which were used for pumping water out of mines.
By 1780 the Industrial Revolution was beginning to transform life in Britain and Watt adapted his steam engines to provide a rotary motion so they could be used to power machines in new factories. In 1781 he used the sun and planet gear to do this and four years later, steam engines were used to power machines in cotton mills for the first time.
Meanwhile, in 1782 Watt invented another major improvement, the double-acting steam engine. In 1788 he invented the fly ball governor to regulate the speed of steam engines and a pressure gauge in 1790.
In 1785 Watt was elected a fellow of the royal society and he retired from business in 1800.
James Watt died on August 25, 1819 and was buried in Birmingham. Finally, in 1882 a unit of electrical power was named the watt his honor.
